With Remembrance Day just around the corner, a local resident has gone the extra mile to remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice during World War I from the town and who are named on the Queensway War Memorial. ‘Eh Oop Flower’ has created a net of 300 crocheted poppies. Please be aware that a road closure in Queensway, from its junction with Princes Way to its junction with Knowles Primary School, will be in place between 8.30am-10.30am on Sunday 14th November. This closure is for our annual Remembrance Sunday Ceremony. More information is available in the Public Notice and the Map for Order.

The Community Governance Review (CGR) Consultation for Bletchley and Fenny Stratford began earlier this week and will last for 12 weeks ending at 5pm 17 January 2022. White Ribbon Day (25th November 2021) and the subsequent 16 Days of Activism is an annual campaign calling for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. Our wreath laying ceremony will be taking place on Remembrance Sunday, 14th November 2021. Starting at 9am, there will be a Silent Community Walk from Elizabeth Square in Queensway, Bletchley. On arrival at the Queensway War Memorial, the wreath laying ceremony will commence.

The Lakes Estate Renewal Forum (LERF), in partnership with Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council, have arranged for a one off free collection of bulky waste items on Wednesday 27th October. There will be supervised drop-off locations across the estate and each location will have a time slot for when waste items will be accepted.

The Town Council is working with the Vegan Market Co to bring an amazing Vegan Market to Bletchley. There will be a wide range of stalls on offer, including vegan street food, ethical jewellers, environmental charities and much more.
