In current circumstances, Milton Keynes Council has made changes to waste collection services.
This includes the following:
- Pre COVID-19, service changes had already been agreed to bank holiday working arrangements. This Easter weekend will be the first time collections have taken place on bank holidays in Milton Keynes. So if your collection is due on Good Friday or Easter Monday, collection will take place on the usual day.
- Due to reduced staff numbers and to protect the weekly collection of black and clear sacks, Milton Keynes Council stopped food and garden waste collections throughout MK after regular collections on Friday 3 April until the situation improves. This service will resume as soon as possible. Please compost or dispose of food into black bags. Black bag waste and clear recycling sacks will continue to be collected on your regular collection days.
- Milton Keynes Council has started to deliver the annual roll of clear recycling sacks to every home. If you do not receive them by end of June, please email customerservices@milton-keynes.gov.uk
