Teams from John Lewis & Partners are taking over three Willen Hospice shops for one day, to see who can fundraise the most for the local charity.Going head-to-head, the first team will kick the challenge off tomorrow [15th September] in the Willen Hospice Bletchley Store, on Bletchley High Street.

Customers are invited to come along and enjoy the fun activities, including a raffle with fantastic prizes to be won, a talk from John Lewis personal stylist at midday, demonstrating how to piece together unique charity shop finds, and the iconic John Lewis Christmas Characters will be there too! The next team will be in the Willen Hospice Olney shop on Friday 23rd September, and the third team will be finishing the takeover in the Willen Hospice Clearance Outlet on Grafton Gate on Monday 26th September.

Jaqi Caves, Brand Experience Manager for Milton Keynes Store said "This is a unique experience and a privilege. Thank you to our Head of Branch, David Donovan for allowing our Team Managers to sprinkle a little bit of the John Lewis & Partners magic and to offer a wealth of retail experience to Willen Hospice shop volunteers. The teams will be competing with each other to see who can generate the most income for the local charity, seeing who has the best Window and shop display, and which team is the most entrepreneurial.”

Nigel Birch, Willen Hospice Commercial Manager, said “We are delighted to welcome the teams from John Lewis & Partners into our shops for these takeover days. It will be a great team building activity for the staff, while benefitting Willen Hospice so we can care for more patients and their families affected by a life-limiting illness. We wish the teams the best of luck, and hope to see lots of customers in our stores supporting them.”Willen Hospice needs to raise £11.23 a minute to continue providing specialist, end of life care.
