The canalside visit was organised by John Best, Chair of the Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust, and the Town Council, with Cllr Richard Graham and Cllr Terry Stephens attending the canal visit yesterday evening. We were delighted to be joined by the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr Mohammed Khan, Ward Cllr Emily Darlington, Ophelia Cole from community group Action Speaks and Pat Durham and Diane Witts from the IWA Milton Keynes Branch. Good discussions took place about the canalside within our parish. The Town Council has recently gone into partnership with Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust. We also all got to enjoy and experience the surrounding nature and wildlife - seeing ducks, swans and a heron! Thank you to all those who attended.We are very much looking forward to seeing the new Electra boat in action and enjoying the Fenny Stratford Canal Festival, organised by the IWA Milton Keynes Branch, which will take place on 7th-8th August!
