The former Sainsburys store is due to be demolished in September 2024. During the demolition period the Brunel Centre shops will remain open and access to the town centre will not be impeded though some parking bays in Oliver Road will be suspended during the four week demolition project. Residents who live in close proximity to the site can obtain more information at the Town Deal consultation event on Monday 2 September at the Duncombe Street Community House between 6 pm and 8 pm.
