National Highways plan to carry out essential improvement work on the A5 Dunstable Northern Bypass. This work will include the replacement of road markings, studs, signs, and other routine maintenance activities. This will ensure the A5 continues to remain in a safe and serviceable condition.
National Highways plan to complete this work over 8 weeks from Wednesday 20th July to Friday 16th September. They will work between 8pm and 6am, weeknights only, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, National Highways will need to close parts of the A5 and divert traffic onto the local road network. Details of these closures and diversion routes can be found in the table below:

No work will take place on Monday 29 August (Summer bank holiday).
